About the European Society of Veterinary Dermatology
Objectives of the ESVD

To promote veterinary dermatology in all animal species, in both clinical and non-clinical fields

The Officers are drawn from the Full Members of the
Society. They hold office for three years and are elected by
postal vote.
Only Full Members are entitled to vote. The official
language of the ESVD is English.

Membership is open to any person with an interest in dermatology; full and associate membership is restricted to veterinary surgeons

Affiliated membership is welcomed from non-veterinarians with an interest in veterinary and comparative dermatology

The journal, Veterinary Dermatology, which is published every 2 months, is provided to all members

Membership is from January 1st to December 31st irrespective of when you become a member. You will receive all published copies of Veterinary Dermatology for the year.

The annual membership fee is 105 euro. Payments may also be made in British Pounds. Non-European members may pay in US dollars ($120).

Applications for membership must be received by the Executive Committee of the ESVD at least 60 days prior to the Annual General Meeting and must be accompanied by the subscription payment.

is limited to veterinarians who devote a significant proportion of their professional activities to research, teaching or the practice of veterinary dermatology. Evidence of activity in the discipline and letters of recommendation from 2 full members of ESVD are required. Full members are elected at the ESVD Annual General meeting.

Below are links to the appropriate payment forms for membership of
the ESVD. These forms include subscription to Veterinary
Dermatology journal. You will see there are a number of ways
of paying for membership and these options are on the main
application form. For bank transfers it is essential now to
include all of the bank details which are on the appropriate
bank transfer form below.

This is the time of year again for renewal of your ESVD
membership and in order to ensure continued receipt of
Veterinary Dermatology we would appreciate it if you could
renew your membership before the 1st January.
We have always based the membership fees on a membership of
105 euro and we intend to continue to do this as a European
Society. There have been some complaints that some
currencies have become out of step with the euro conversion
over the past few years. This relates to the value of the
pound sterling which has decreased in value against the euro
consistently over the last few years, and in order to keep
parity with the original agreed membership fee the sterling
membership has to rise to £70.00.
We have also closed our American dollar account and ask our
American members if they could kindly pay the Visa/Mastercard
fee of 110 euro by Visa/Mastercard direct to the Treasurer.
Payment Forms
For the very small number of members who do not require
Veterinary Dermatology (Editorial board members and AAVD
members) there is a reduced membership fee for this and, an appropriate form.
