    The annual congress will take place in the SwissTech Convention Center. With its unique architecture and its innovative technologies, the convention center will immerse you in a stimulating environment, at the very heart of innovation in Europe. We have no doubt that you will have an unforgettable experience! Please have a look on this video. In addition to the Welcome reception and the Swiss Night in Grandvaux, participants and accompanying persons can join for  a CGN cruise  on lake Geneva, a guided walking tour of the city of Lausanne, and a wine tasting experience in the Lavaux.
  •  Registration and abstract submission for the 29th Annual Congress of the ESVD-ECVD from  7-9  September 2017 in Lausanne, Switzerland will be online from the 1st of February. The submission deadline for abstracts is 23.59 CET on Wednesday 1st April2017.

  •  The ESVD webinar on “Food animal dermatology part I “ by Dr. S. White is planned on Wednesday March 22nd 2017 at 8:00pm GMT. Please register in the member login area of the ESVD website.
  •  The deadline for the ESVD research grants is April 1st 2017.
  •  The deadline for ESVD travel grant is May 1st 2017. Please send you application to
  •  The ESVD Otitis workshop 2017 will take place in Vienna, Austria from June 1st – 3rd 2017 with Dr. Sue Paterson, Dr. Rod Rosychuck, Prof. Gilles Dupre, Prof. Swoboda (human ear, throat and nose specialist)  and Dr. Sibylle Kneissl (radiologist). Please register here.
  •  ESVD is looking for one new ESVD Board member to help launching the Eastern European Initiative. Interested colleagues can mail Dr. Sue Paterson ( before the end of July 2017.
  •  The ESVD research grant 2011 awarded to Dr. Georg Lehner resulted in an article published in Veterinary Microbiology 168 (2014) 154-160: “Case-control risk factor study of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus pseudintermedius (MRSP) infection in dogs and cats in Germany”.
