Are you a veterinarian with a passion for dermatology?
We are looking for a veterinarian with a strong passion for dermatology. We believe you have previous experience in veterinary dermatology and/or a strong interest and high motivation to learn about this highly interesting clinical discipline.
We are part of a refferal hospital with around 42 000 patients per year with strong focus on advanced evidence-based medicine practice.
Our team today consists of two veterinarians, two specialized veterinary nurses and two animalkeepers. If you have worked in dermatology or have a great interest in dermatology, you could be the person we are looking for.
At the dermatology department we offer examination, diagnosis and treatment of advanced medical conditions such as allergies, skin and ear infections, parasitic diseases, hair loss and immunological diseases that affect the skin, nails and ear canals.

Assistant/Associate Professor of Dermatology
The Department of Medicine and Epidemiology in the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of California-Davis is recruiting for an Assistant/Associate Professor of Dermatology.
SALARY: The current base pay range is $160,900 - $208,700. Other components of pay may be offered when necessary to meet competitive conditions qualifications and experience.
QUALIFICATIONS: Veterinarian (DVM or equivalent) with advanced training in veterinary dermatology is required. Board certification or eligibility in the American College of Veterinary Dermatology (ACVD) or European College of Veterinary Dermatology (ECVD) is required. Advanced research training (MSc/PhD/Post-doctoral Fellowship) is preferred but not required. Clinical experience and competence in veterinary dermatology is required. Demonstrated aptitude/experience in teaching is required. Documented research record or potential to develop a focused dermatology research program is required. Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work with others in a collegial team atmosphere. A valid license to practice veterinary medicine in California is required at the time of employment (California Business and Professions Code Section 4846-4857). Individuals not eligible for a full California license can obtain a University License (California Business and Professions Code Section 4848.1).

The Animal Medical Centre Amsterdam (“ Medisch Centrum voor Dieren”) is looking for a Veterinary dermatologist
The Animal Medical Centre is the largest private emergency and referral hospital in the Netherlands. Our aim is to improve the quality of life of pet animals by offering specialist, emergency and critical care services, 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. The hospital is currently staffed with 11 specialists and 6 residents in training for 3 different specialties, 25 veterinarians and 70 veterinary technicians.
We are housed in a in a new modern building (2010, 1800 square feet), and supplied with all the modern equipment for diagnosis (including CT and MRI) and treatment in small animal medicine. The hospital is located in Amsterdam, the colorful, creative and dynamic capital of the Netherlands.
Our dermatology team consists of 2 dermatologists and 4 dedicated dermatology nurses. Together they treat approximately 2000 -2100 dermatology patients per year, with allergy and otitis as special areas of interest. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated colleague to join this dynamic team.
We are looking for someone who
- Is board-certified (ECVD) as a Specialist in veterinary dermatology or has completed a residency in dermatology.
- Is quality-oriented and works according to on evidence-based medicine.
- Is willing to learn to speak and write Dutch.
- Has a good command of the English language.
- Is flexible, disciplined, straightforward and has good communication skills.
- Is open to training a dermatology resident.

What will you be doing?
This post is primarily a teaching role, delivering and leading the practical and didactic clinical teaching of undergraduate veterinary and veterinary nursing students.
