Clinical: The position includes a 70% clinical commitment to the Dermatology Service in the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital (VMTH). The individual will be responsible for directing, instructing and supervising veterinary students and residents; providing health care and service to patients; and advising and consulting with referring veterinarians and clients.
Teaching: Responsibilities include: 1) participation in lectures and laboratories in the DVM professional curriculum; 2) clinical teaching in the VMTH; and 3) participation in the graduate clinical (resident) training program of the VMTH.
Professional Competence: Will advance the discipline of dermatology within the VMTH, as well as locally and nationally, through participation and leadership in providing high quality patient care in the hospital environment. Expected to establish a reputation for clinical excellence locally, regionally, and nationally, depending upon level of appointment. Must demonstrate clinical competence and be recognized for accomplishment in a focused area of clinical practice.
Creative Scholarship: Creative/scholarly activities are required, but in view of the increased responsibilities for clinical service and teaching, the type of scholarly activity may focus primarily on integrating/improving clinical care, conducting clinical research studies, and/or improving veterinary medical education. Creative scholarship is expected to advance the clinical discipline through creation and dissemination of new knowledge with documentation in peer-reviewed publications.
Service: University and public service through committee work, participation in professional organizations, continuing education and other appropriate means is required. Active participation and engagement in developing/maintaining continuing education activities of the VMTH as it relates to dermatology are required.
Qualifications: Veterinarian (DVM or equivalent) with advanced training in dermatology is required. Board certification or credentials accepted by the American College of Veterinary Dermatology (ACVD) or the European College of Veterinary Dermatology (ECVD) is required. Clinical experience and competence in dermatology is required. Demonstrated aptitude/experience in teaching is required. Documented clinical research record with evidence of ability for ongoing creative scholarship in dermatology or potential thereof is required. Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work with others in a collegial team atmosphere. A valid license to practice veterinary medicine in California is required before employment (California Business and Professions Code Section 4846-4857). Individuals not eligible for a full California license can obtain a University License (California Business and Professions Code Section 4848.1).
Salary: Dependent on qualifications and experience.

The Department of Clinical Sciences at the NC State University College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking well-qualified candidates for the position of Assistant or Associate Professor of Dermatology. The department will also consider qualified applicants interested in entering the role as an Assistant Clinical (non-tenure track) Professor.
Job Description: The selected candidate will work with two other dermatologists to provide effective patient care and valued learning experiences for veterinary students, residents, graduate students, and veterinary practitioners. The faculty member will also participate in clinical responsibilities of the Dermatology service in the NC State Veterinary Hospital; including organizing and supervising daily activities of students, staff and house officers as well as patient care. The chosen candidate is expected to participate in continuing education, public relations programs, and committees in the College of Veterinary Medicine. The person in this role is expected to be a productive, collegial, and active member of the Dermatology Service. For candidates desiring a tenure/tenure track appointment, development and funding of an independent research program is required as well as active collaboration with other members of NC State’s Comparative Medicine Institute.
Qualifications: The position requires a DVM (or equivalent degree) and eligibility for veterinary licensure (or faculty certification) in North Carolina. Position also requires completion of a residency approved by the American or European Colleges of Veterinary Dermatology (ACVD or ECVD). In addition to the requirements noted above, Diplomate status in the American or European Colleges of Veterinary Dermatology (ACVD or ECVD) is preferred. A related PhD, or PhD candidate status (in additional to the required DVM or equivalent degree) is preferred for candidates interested in a tenure track position.

We now have a vacancy for a clinician in our Dermatology department, working alongside another full time board certified Dermatologist. Clinicians must have specialist training in Veterinary Dermatology (ECVD/ACVD Diplomates, certificate holders and board eligible candidates will be considered). Part- or full-time applications will be considered. The Animal Health Trust is a charitable organisation aiming to fight disease and injury in companion animals. The small animal clinic is dedicated to providing the highest standards of patient care, and has an active programme of clinical research and post-graduate training (internships, residencies and PhDs). The Dermatology department works closely with our specialists from other disciplines, including anaesthesia, internal medicine, diagnostic imaging, neurology, oncology, ophthalmology, physiotherapy and surgery. We are looking for a Dermatologist and would consider a Diploma holder, Board certified, Certificate holder in Dermatology or an Advanced practitioner to join our busy Dermatology department at our Referral Centre in the North West of England. You will be working alongside other referral clinicians, some Diplomat level, in Soft Tissue Surgery, Orthopaedics, Exotic medicine, Internal Medicine and Cardiology. The Dermatologists are supported by a team of Dermatology specific nurses and Interns.
